The quality of the BESSEY high-performance clamps is better than that of the all-steel screw clamps. As is common for these, the sliding and fixed arms are tempered and galvanised. The spindles with acme threads in the high-performance clamps are not just tempered but are also phosphate-treated. This makes them smooth and prevents jamming. The service life for the clamps is therefore noticeably increased.

All clamps from this BESSEY range are fitted with a heat-resistant special pressure plate that can move by up to 35°. It has a smooth surface and can be quickly replaced, if necessary. For workpieces that require a better grip, it can be replaced by a design with a corrugated surface or, for round, oval or angular workpieces, by a design with a v-groove. All special pressure plates have a hardened and oil-soaked sintered steel insert, which gives them excellent sliding and emergency running properties and a long service life.
